Key Largo - Saltwater Fishing Report

Taverner and Key Largo Fishing has been excellent this past week. School size dolphin are showing up in numbers in depths of 750-1200 ft. There was solid weedline in 1200 ft. on Weds that went on for miles that was loaded with Mahi that produced big!

On Tuesday I fished with Tony off Tavernier. He is long time client and he always seems to catch fish. We targeted groupers and mutton snappers. Tony caught his limit of pig size Red Groupers and some nice Mutton Snappers.

We had a nice cow dolphin swim up to the boat while were bottom fishing. Tossed a live bait out and get the bonus dolphin before calling it a day.

Weds I had new clients from Iowa. We lost a nice bull dolphin earlier in the day, but they got the big Red Groupers they wanted and the Mutton Muttons Snappers. Good trip with quality fish.

Fishing is getting better each day off Key Largo and Tavernier!
