April was Good, May is Better!!

Capt. Eric Evans

Key West - Saltwater Fishing Report

So far May has been great! The dolphin (mahi-mahi) are still around and we are also seeing blackfin tuna again. The chatter on the docks is that people are getting shots and catching some more marlin as well. This week we saw a nice push of full size sails come through as well. Happy to say we got a couple new saltwater anglers their first sailfish this month!!

The wrecks still have been producing very well with nice mutton snappers and amberjacks - if you can get them past the sharks. In the backcountry, the tarpon bite keeps getting better and better. Our backcountry boat went 2 for 5 on the silver kings on a half day yesterday.
