Getting Back to Fishing

Capt. Eric Evans
October 16, 2017
Key West - Saltwater Fishing Report

The end of July and into August fishing was good! Then, as you all know, hurricane Irma hit the keys! Key West was very fortunate to have been spared from the worst damage, but the destruction between mile markers 10-30 was much worse. We have all been doing our part to restore our community back to what it was, and dare I say, better!

So back to the fishing. I snuck out on the flats in the beginning of October and had 3 quality shots at permit and another couple shots at bonefish! I have heard the offshore fishing has been good lots of debris with dolphin and the occasional wahoo. As for the reef I hear the snapper are hungry! Let's get back to normal and start fishing Key West once again!
