Another Great Start to the Season

Key West - Saltwater Fishing Report

It's a new year and a new start of the season. We ended 2018 with big blackfin tunas and plenty of groupers! Usually this time of year is tuna, sailfish, and wahoo season until April when the mahi start showing up. January 2019 has started a bit different with some nice gaffer dolphin being caught. The blackfin are still around and expect they will be plentiful for the season. We have had occasional sailfish and wahoo being caught as well. The reef bite has been steady with plenty of yellowtails to be caught with mackerels and sharks getting some of their share of our catch - we can still get enough for lunch and dinner. I am looking forward to seeing what the end of the month brings and what the rest of the season will produce!
