Key West Fly fishing and Spin Fishing Charters fishing Report

Capt. Steve Hancock
February 8, 2018
Key West - Saltwater Fishing Report

Key West fly and spin fishing charters fishing report winter 2018:

Fishing has been good during warm weather for Tarpon, Permit, Snook, and Bonefish. As the weather cools the Barracudas have been coming in and large schools and are large fish up to 50 inches plus. Some cubera snappers, mangrove snappers, Jacks, and Redfish have been caught as well and provide a good tug. We also went offshore and had a great day catching black fin tunas,African pomano, mutton snapper, large jacks, king fish. Sharks on fly can be a hoot they are large fish and eat poppers and streamers when presented correctly. All these species of fish can be caught on fly or spin gear, so whatever you preferred method of fishing is I can accommodate you with professional instruction and quality gear.

I also provide professional fly casting instruction classes and I am an International Federation of fly Fishers certified casting instructor.

Please feel free to call to discuss details and book your keys flats fishing experience!
