Key West - Saltwater Fishing Report

The tarpon fishing has been wonderful the last few days.
Finding fish on the ocean Side and the gulf side.
Not super consistent in each spot, however, if you work for it, you will find them.
Be mindful of your fish. Always use safe handling technique when releasing a tarpon. Fish live in a world of zero gravity. Their internal organs are not designed to have their body weight compressed. The jaws are not designed to hold their weight while suspending them in the air with a gaf or by hand. Pull hard and keep the fish fighting to a minimum length of time. Keep their stress level down.
Remember - catch & release is only effective if the fish lives.
