The Fishing Report. May 13, 2009. Tarpon are migrating! Bonefish are schooling!! Permit are Tailing!!!

Daisy Chains of Tarpon have been circling the flats during the past several days on the Atlantic side. Today we had 5 different Tarpon eat either the Black Death or the Cockroach fly with the water hovering around 86F and the winds freshening from 10 kts to 20 kts.

This is a 20 pound Permit caught on a Tarpon fly.
As the waters warm up into the 80's during the next month or two, more waves of Tarpon, Bonefish, and Permit should be showing.
