Tarpon Fishing

Capt. Lenny Leonard
May 8, 2015
Key West - Saltwater Fishing Report

What would spring be like in the Florida Keys without a few days of 25 knot winds? I have no idea, so I just keep on pushing and chasing the silver king. Despite the wind over the last few days, the fishing has remained good. There are still strings pushing on the ocean. If you can tough it out and throw in the wind, you can catch them. There have been some larger fish spotted in the back country - albeit, they're not quite fishable under today's conditions. Overall, I'm pretty psyched about this year's tarpon season in Key West. We are expecting more fish daily.

I still have some good tarpon dates open around mid-June.
