The Fishing Report. April 3, 2015.Happy Easter Weekend! The bunny has seen his shadow and that means that the Tarpon will be here for the remainder of the Spring in BIG NUMBERS!

The past few weeks have seen a strong migration of local Tarpon rolling into backcountry Basin Flats.

Permit were also Marching everywhere! The light and variable winds winds were prevailing and the water temps increased to the mid 80's. We were hooking big Tarpon daily.

Sight casting to Tarpon on the basin flats in March and April is outstanding! Here is another Tarpon caught in this environment...

Resident baby Tarpon have also been on the line... Permit are here and there if you get that lucky!!! Bonefish are also available here on the Keys flats!

We have just returned from our annual trek to Turneffe Flats, Belize and I am happy to report that we had great weather and an outstanding week of flats fishing!

THE BIG THREE were caught during our mid July "Grand Slam" week at Turneffe Flats, Belize. Our 2015
dates are July 11-18, 2015 AND July 25- Aug. 1, 2015! YES, THAT IS CORRECT, 2 GLORIOUS WEEKS AT TURNEFFE FLATS, BELIZE NEXT YEAR!!! And we already have 6 anglers booked in for each set of dates to this tropical paradise. Tarpon are laid up on the flats! Tarpon have migrated into the Lower Keys flats and are laid up in decent numbers in basins and channels.
