Xmas In The Florida Keys

Capt. Scott Yetter
December 30, 2009
Key West - Saltwater Fishing Report

Clouds, wind and cold fronts continue to plague us here in the keys.. Must be winter..

Went out fishing with my friend Bo on Christmas... pretty good way to spend Xmas Day. It was cloudy, water temperatures right around 70 degrees. Winds were light out of the south.. good conditions to hunt baby tarpon, except for the temperatures being cool.. Surprisingly enough we found way more tarpon they I had expected.. The tarpon were very cooperative and the fly color of choice was white.
Speaking of tarpon flies.. Check out this video on tying and fishing the gurgler..
