Fishing on FIRE!

Capt. Tim Daugherty
January 25, 2021
Marco Island - Saltwater Fishing Report

It's been one of the best weeks of backcountry/inshore fishing in the Naples and Marco island areas and this is due to the high presser that has stalled over us . We have been treated glassy conditions , and warm 70degree temps. With the gulf waters warming it has really fired up the fishery. Snook, redfish, sea trout and tarpon have all been targets . I have found snook and redfish on the outside islands laying close to the fallen structure. I have been using artificial jigs and live bait to get m going . Sea trout have been all over the 10,000 island & we have been limiting out just about every trip. I have been using a 3/4oz jig with a DOA 3in paddle tail to get these fish chewing . There have been spotted sea trout , sand trout , whiting and pompano all in the same areas. Next few days should on fire with an approaching cold front on Thursday. See you on the water!
