Marco Island - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing in the past month has been fair to excellent. I say that because it has been raing almost evry day in the last month. You have to pick your moments.
Most of the morning hours have been the best. They have been rain free and the temperature has been cooler. Bait has been sporadic. If you can get it, you will likely crush the fish. Jigs and soft plastics have been working well too. I have been using popping corks and shrimp with success. Expect to get mauled by snapper when using shrimp.
Snook of all sizes are on the prowl. I have been catching snook on points where ther is current. Any structure such as branches or oyster bars will harbor snook and redfish. I have not been targeting trout, but have caught some larger ones on each outing where snook like to hang out.
Redfish are in the mix with regularity. It has been no problem getting our limit.
It has been hot and muggy this past month but the fishing has been spectacular.

Target Species:

Snook,Redfish,Trout,Tarpon

More Fishing Reports:

Light Tackle Spinfishing, live bait, artificial and flyfishing. I do it all. Fish for snook, redfish, trout and tarpon in the Marco Island, ten thousand islands and Everglades.
