Matlacha - Saltwater Fishing Report

5 Sep 14, Went fishing this morning with a local friend in Matlacha pass starting out about 7:45 a little late in the morning, but still had success. As the tide was coming in for the second part of the high tide the fish were turned on just off the mangroves chasing bait fish as the current brought them by. Caught several keeper Reds and the Snook were slaughtering the white bait as well. Moved to four different areas throughout the pass and all had fish on them. Caught everything from Mangrove snapper, trout, reds and a couple under the limit Snook. All in all a great day fishing only being on the water 4 hours.
If you're ready to go fishing give me a call to plan your trip so we can try and catch the tides right.
