Bonitas and a Blackfin

Capt. John Barker
September 24, 2013
Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

A group of friends organized a fun fishing trip before their convention started in Miami Beach. The theme of the morning was to have fun and reconnect. We were on able to find any live bait, so we headed offshore and put out a trolling spread rigged ballyhoo and feathers, both surface and on planners. After sorting through a few dozen bonita, a nice chunky blackfin tuna was caught. We had lots of action to keep the anglers busy, but only one "quality" fish. All too soon it was time to head back to the dock and back to work for our anglers.
