Continued Kingfish Action And Tarpon Too

Capt. Dave Kostyo
December 14, 2014
Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

The kingfish action remains strong. Putting together a limit catch has been the norm for several trips.

The action has been spread out in the 105 - 160 foot range.

Dan, Vince, and Mike got into plenty of action on their 3/4 day trip. We had 8 shots at kingfish, caught 7 and kept 6. Added a skipjack tuna to the fish box to round out the trip. Lots of fresh fillets for fish dinners in their future.

Brad had a banner day on his 3/4 day trip. Final tally was 14 kingfish, kept 2, and 1 bonito.

The evening tarpon season is upon us. Chris and Wayne did a 4 hour trip. Wayne caught and released his first tarpon. Chris added another to his tally. Had a third fish on that threw the hook on its first jump. Also caught a mangrove snapper and jack crevalle.

Fishing is good. Time to get your trip booked and get in on the action.
