Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

Juan and Jason from South Miami wanted to get into the night time Mangrove Snapper bite. We left the dock at 6:30pm and ran out to 70' of water set the anchor and put out the chum. We let the chum do its thing for about 30 minutes. In the meantime I caught approximately 5 dozen Pilchards in the chum slick.
We started fishing right at sunset, the bites a slow at first but soon picked up. We fished until 11:00pm with no stop in the action from Mangrove and Yellowtail Snappers.
Final Tally
13 Mangroves to 5 pounds
17 Yellowtails biggest about 18"
1 Yellow Jack
And a couple of short Red Groupers which we released.
REMEMBER: Summer is here and it gets too hot to fish during the day. An evening Snapper fishing trip is a great way to put some good eating fish on the dinner table without getting overheated and breaking the bank. Give me a call to inquire about our evening yellow tail and mangrove snapper trips.
