We got a jumper!

Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

After having Sunday off due to two cancellations and a last minute trip falling through I had a rare day off but today I was back to work and I was so glad. I really needed redemption for Saturday and regular clients Joe and Kim were on board to make things happen. Fishing a few spots waiting for the tide to turn they catch snappers, jacks and some other species but no bonefish or snook. "Ok, it's time, the tide is right, let's move." With the outgoing tide we fished a bridge for tarpon and I marked them clear as day on my Raymarine. After setting up and using a simple technique Joe hooks up to about a 100lb tarpon. Yes! No! The fish ran between two of the bridge pilings and cut us off. Geeze, that's bridge fishing for tarpon for you. After setting up again Joe hooked up again and this time landed his 100 lber. Way to go Joe! I feel better....
