Mixed bag Flamingo -- 3/31/2012

Capt. Nick Gonzalez
April 1, 2012
Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

As usual, the day started nice and early with a drive to the west. We launched the boat and noted that once again, the wind was blowing out of the west. Chocolate milk water would plague our trip once again but we knew we would catch fish regardless. We threw top water plugs, bucktails, and soft plastics. The conditions were piss poor but we still produced a solid mixed bag of fish. There weren't any trophy fish but the quantity was there. We missed the 2 biggest snook of the day which was a bummer…

Final Tally – 5 snook to 25 inches, 4 redfish to 21 inches, 12 trout to 19 inches, a black drum, over 10 mangrove snapper, some sheepshead, spanish mackerel, ladyfish, jacks, catfish, and croackers. (11 total species)

This is an awesome time of year at nearly every South Florida fishing venue. The east and west coasts have mixed bags of species both inshore and offshore. The Double Threat crew will be in Chub Cay 5-10 so no we can't book charters during this time. We'll be marlin fishing and should have a detailed report with lots of pictures when we get back.

Otherwise, go ahead and check out www.fishmiamicharters.com for more fishing reports or to book a charter and capitalize on the Spring bite. Give Double Threat Charters a like on facebook to be kept up to date on fishing reports, etc.

Miami Fishing Forecast:
