Miami Fishing Report: Key Biscayne to Triumph Reef

Capt. Orlando Muniz
May 24, 2007
Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

High Winds - Good Fishing!

Over the last week, we have been pounded with some pretty strong winds keeping most boats inshore or tied to the dock. Crews that have ventured out have been handsomely rewarded with nice catches of dolphin or mahi mahi. Mixed in with the dolphin there have been some nice catches of sailfish and blackfin tuna. Hopefully the winds will start to lay down in time for our Memorial weekend.

Aside from the offshore opportunities that exist there should also be some good mutton snapper fishing during the days leading up to the full moon. Large hungry muttons will be hitting the reefs and wrecks in anticipation of their spawn. Many fish will still be around during June as well.

Over the past few days I've had to re-schedule several trips due to the foul weather. June is starting to fill in, so if you want to get in on the summertime action give me a call.

Tight Lines,

Capt. Orlando (786)266-0171
