Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing is hot. Quality is way up in the angling world. Here’s some examples of the
fishing the last few days.
11 year old, Cody Lapnow caught and released 2 sailfish and a 25 pound african
pompano on Friday. His 8 year old brother Taylor released some great fish as well.
Taylor caught and released a 25 pound african pompano, a 22 pound permit and a
70 pound amberjack. Cody provided dinner by catching a 14 pound red grouper.
When the boys flew home to Connecticut, on Saturday, it allowed their dad Jeff a
chance to touch a rod instead of manning camera duty. Sunday evening Jeff and his
neighbor Bill caught and released a sailfish and 5 tarpon up to 125 pounds. The
shrimp ran quite well Sunday night, which turned on the tarpon feeding frenzy.
The Jeter family fished the Sunday day trip and had some good fishing as well.
Charles caught a 25 pound cobia, Gus caught and released a 40 pound permit, Mike
caught and released a 75 pound sailfish and a amberjack and Dan caught and
released a 25 pound king and a 10 pound bonita as well as providing a 5 pound
dolphin for dinner.
Don’t forget to join us for a kingfish, blackfin tuna and wahoo seminar at Dusky
Sport Center this Thursday night. Call 954-922-8890 for details
