Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

A Little Bit of Everything
That’s the best explanation of what’s been happening on the Lucky27. We have had another busy and exciting week of fishing. First off one of my favorite fish continues to impress with their strong showing. The tarpon continue to show up in good numbers. We have been getting up to eight shots at these fish on some nights. They continue to feed on shrimp but the transition to crabs is starting to happen so we are starting to put them out in addition to the shrimp.
On the offshore scene the kingfish continue to fill the fish box. On the days that we have been offshore we have caught our boat limit on kingfish. In addition to kingfish we have caught mackerel, bluefish, and a nice 100 plus pound shark on 15# test.
The sailfish are starting to show up again after a brief hiatus. We have been catching them but we are waiting for them to show up again in really strong numbers.
Another option to keep in mind is that the blackfin tuna have started to show up.
If you like to sleep in then this is a great fish to target. We can do a 12-8:00 pm charter. Since these fish are light sensitive they tend to bite better in the early morning hours or in the late afternoon/dusk period. The fishing is very good right now so give me a call and let’s get out on the water. Till next tide.
Best of Luck…
