Good Tarpon Action in Miami/Miami Beach

Capt. Dave Kostyo
January 8, 2015
Miami - Saltwater Fishing Report

If you are willing to sometimes fish some odd ball hours, then the tarpon action can be very good.

That's exactly what the MacLucas (Simon, James, and Ella) Family did. A 4 hour evening tarpon trip from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am did the trick for these first time tarpon anglers.

Working 4 different locations resulted in 5 tarpon in the 35 - 70 pound class. All fish were released after putting on a good show of jumps, leaps, and line burning runs.

The action will only get better as we progress in the winter tarpon season here in Miami/Miami Beach.
