Mosquito Lagoon - Saltwater Fishing Report

The fishing is on fire and expected to get even better over the next week with cooler temps . The reds are schooled uo and trout season opens on the first . With lower and cleaner water sight fishing is at its best . Black drum have schooled up in central flats and are tasty table fair and hard fighters as well . Come get it while its hot . Best baits for the next few weeks jig heads with paddle tails or gulp shrimp for Reds ,Trout and Flounder and live medium shrimp on small circle hooks for black drum , Fly fisherman can get all species on Borski sliders or EP bait fish patterns and dark colored crab patterns for black drum .

Mosquito Lagoon Fishing Forecast:

With a strong cold front coming the first week of 2012 the fishing will go off with colder cleaner water the schools will be coming together and its not uncommon to have 30 fish days or better .

Red Fish , Black Drum , Trout and Flounder
