Low predicts bite

Mosquito Lagoon - Saltwater Fishing Report

The reds in the Mosquito lagoon have been working the massive finger mullet schools on the flats. They have also been feeding through the nights bright moon making a morning bite tough with that low system bouncing back and forth, I think we finally got rid of that one. We have been fishing for trout in the river and reds and black drum on the flats. Jacks and ladyfish are out in the deep water feeding on Gulp! OK that is what I feed them. Tarpon are starting to feel the chill in the air and should be gone soon. Are you stocked up on your Berkley Powerbait 5" and 6" Power Mullet? WHY cobia love em, I like the silver mullet and the holographic black shad colors. We kicked bass last year with them and hope to catch a few going south soon. I have some new chartreuse power mullet I am wanting to try.

At Ponce Inlet black drum have been at the south rocks. Fish outgoing tide with shrimp and you will catch reds along with the drum. You may even take some whiting and a few pompano. Snook can be had at the docks and bridges as well as the north rocks at the inlet, we have also been catching them in the mangroves. Use a pig fish in the inlet and a Gulp Jerk shad along the mangroves. Work your jerk shad fast and erratic to piss the snook off and make him pounce it. Remember think like a fish to catch fish or just call me 386 314 5656
