Mosquito Lagoon - Saltwater Fishing Report

Spring is here and the fishing is great right now for Redfish, Trout, and Black Drum! The redfish have been on the flats all day long looking for mullet, pinfish, shrimp, and crabs. Some of the lures we have been using are gold spoons, soft plastics, and jigs with gulp shrimp. The black drum are in big schools also and can be caught on shrimp. Speckled trout fishing has been really good too! Fish topwater plugs and soft plastic baits rigged weedless first thing in the morning, then fish jigs in 4 to 5 feet of water later in the day for a mixed bag of trout, ladyfish, and even a few bluefish too.
