Mosquito Lagoon - Saltwater Fishing Report

The summer bite is in full swing and the fishing has been great! Redfish are in big schools and we have been catching double digits of fish on a variety of baits. Live shrimp, cut bait, and soft plastic jerk baits are top producers. Fish around the large schools of mullet for best results. There have been big speckled trout in the mix as well and they can be caught on the same baits. Black drum, tarpon, and snook are a possibility as well. The black drum have been eating shrimp, and the snook and tarpon can be caught on live finger mullet and small jigs and lures.
