mosquito lagoon and New Smyrna Beach may 2014

Capt. Michael Mann
April 28, 2014
Mosquito Lagoon - Saltwater Fishing Report

Summer is starting and with the warmer temps we have some hot fishing action . The top water bite has been from good to spectacular in the mornings with the sight casting heating up in the late morning . We still have some nice schools of red fish in the south and north lagoon on the grass flats and edges of the flats . The trout bite has been good on the deeper flats with some nice gator trout being caught . Best bet for early morning is a skitter walk or bite a bait top water early and jigs and jerk baits or live shrimp as the sun gets higher . May is a great time of year the water is still clean and the temps are comfortable great time to book a charter .
