September Month Of 'Slobberknocker' Redfish

Capt. David Rogers
September 29, 2010
Mosquito Lagoon - Saltwater Fishing Report

What a month September proved to be. Had the weather not stopped me I would have fished all 30 days. The big "Slobberknocker' redfish have been the staple. We landed big red all but 4 days. The highlights of the month were watching an 84 year old man land a 28 pound redfish and having the pleasure of putting Chico Fernandez in front of a 30 pound redfish on fly. Chico was awesome to fish with and he can toss a fly pretty darn good. We landed over 125 big reds in September. I am now booking October and November which are both great months to fish the Mosquito Lagoon. Tight Lines and Good Fishing!
