New smyrna mosquito lagoon Jan 2012

Capt. Michael Mann
January 26, 2012
Mosquito Lagoon - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing has been amazing with warm days and light winds . We have had tailing reds all day and schools of hungry reds as well as trout . There is a lot of finger mullet which is unusual for this time of year but then so are temps in the 80s . You can catch fish using several different techniques from fly to live bait . Large trout up to 9 lbs have been caught using live finger mullet . This is a great time of year to catch fish no matter what your skill level is .
