Naples - Saltwater Fishing Report

We have gotten through a very hot July with heavy afternoon inland rains still hitting the area. Everything this time of year is happening early and late. Bait is plentiful along the beaches and is getting bigger. Use a 1'4 inch mesh cast net to catch these baits. Snook can still be found in the passes and beaches.

Here is Austin with his largest snook to date. Redfish have been showing up at the end of the incoming tides using split shots to help keep your baits up under the mangroves

. These guys enjoyed taking there Redfish to Tacos n Tequila Cantina for some amazing redfish tacos. Tarpon are still here but get out before the sun comes up. Using big mullet and threads will be great baits to target these fish. Pompano can still be found along the beaches and passes with good water movement.
Naples Fishing Forecast:

August should start to bring in some really good red fishing. Focus on the tides and get out early to beat whats left of the summer time storms.
Target Species:

snook redfish tarpon snapper pompano
