Naples - Saltwater Fishing Report

December is here and with everyone preparing for the Holidays it's a perfect time to hit the water. The water temps have been on the rise due to some awesome weather. Fish went from heading into the backcountry to making there way back to the passes and along the beaches. Bait has been plentiful on the near shore wrecks and along the beaches. We have been targeting redfish on the higher stages of the incoming tide.

Trout at the start of the incoming and start of the outgoing tides. Snook season is closed but you can still manage a good snook bite in the backcountry or hitting docks. Big Jacks have been all over the place and put up one amazing battle for the new angler.

Baits of choice have been pilchards, jigs tipped with shrimp and gulp shrimp baits. Don't be afraid to change up your approach. Tripletail can also be found working the traps and there have been some nice ones out there.

Naples Fishing Forecast:

Look for fishing this week to be really good with great weather and good tides. I believe we may have a cool system coming in later in the week which will probably help get things back to normal for us this time of year.
Target Species:

Snook, Redfish, Trout, Tripletail, Jacks
