grouper fishing

Capt. Michael Avinon

Naples - Saltwater Fishing Report

The fishing has been like the weather lately, when its good ,its really good.We have been catching groupers on the full days with ajs mangs and kings mixed in depending on where we fish.Yesterday we had 8 gags and 4 reds.Today we had a limit of gags[12]and 4 reds, plus a few kings to 12pds.The red groupers are showing signs of life, today and yesterday we caught keepers in less than 70 ft of water,a sure sign of thigs to come.

Naples Fishing Forecast:

The fishing should only continue to get better the reds are warming up and should make a move inshore in the next couple of weeks.I have also had reports of permit and tarpon showing down south.I have a 171 mako that will be available from the Naples City Dock starting May 1.We will be fishing on the beach for tarpon, snook and permit.

More Fishing Reports:

I have been operating out of Naples for over twenty years and have the spots to prove it.With a range of over 400 miles and the speed to get there quickly the options are endless. We are consistently one of the top producing boats in sw florida, stop by the city dock and see for yourself.
