Capt. Michael Avinon
July 24, 2011
Naples - Saltwater Fishing Report

On our recent full day charters we have been catching a limit of red groupers before lunch every trip and then moving on to yellowtail snappers, sharks, amberjacks, and some small kings. On a recent full day we had 12 red groupers by 11 am and then caught a goliath grouper to 80 pds. and several yellowtails to 25".

Naples Fishing Forecast:

The red grouper fishing should continue to be really good all summer along with amberjack opening on august 1 and gag grouper opening on sept 16 the fishing this summer should continue to be fantastic. On our half days we can catch several keeper groupers for dinner and have time to pull on a goliath grouper to finish the trip off.On our full days red grouper continue to be the main target with snappers taking up the afternoon with the occasional cobia and kings. On our extended trips the grouper fishing will be fantastic with limits of reds and gags the norm in sept, oct, nov.Occasionaly we will catch blackfin tunas ,kings, and some larger snappers.
