Naples - Saltwater Fishing Report

Today I guided local angler and part time Georgia resident John Goodheart. He never did the beach sightfishing before and was eager to learn more about it. Conditions early were tough (very calm and clear water), but the action picked up a notch when the onshore breeze and incoming tide got cranked up. He wound up with 7 Snook landed, and a few dropped, all on fly. We didnt see or hook into anything of size today unfortunately, but he had a great time with the little guys. It was a fun day and I hope to see him again in a few months for a Tamiami canal trip!

Naples Fishing Forecast:

As long as E winds dominate, the fish will be thick until October. When its calm, its especially important to downsize everything...including the weight of your flyrod.
