Naples - Saltwater Fishing Report

The water is cool and clear, the air temperatures are comfortable. Fishing is great this time of year. The recent cold front moving through has dropped the water temperature and moved us into our typical winter patterns in southwest florida. Today we focused on offshore fishing out of Naples for gag grouper, our biggest one today was 27". These guys are notorious for "rocking you up". Make sure to be quick getting these powerhouses out of their holes and stay clear of those vicious teeth when you grab your catch. Happy Thanksgiving! Naples Fishing Forecast - look for Gag grouper fishing to improve as we move into the winter. King Mackerel should be here in numbers any day now. Trout are steady on the grass flats and oyster bars. Snook have left summer/fall patterns around the beaches and passes. They are now moving into the backcountry around mangroves, docks, and creeks. Pompano, and bluefish will continue to hang out the passes, beaches, and flats. Spanish Mackerel will also continue to frequent the beaches, passes, and inside the passes.
