Naples - Saltwater Fishing Report

We have enjoyed unseasonably warm days here in SW Florida for the last week. Along with it has been some hot fishing for Snook, Pompano and Redfish!
We are still catching live sardines and having success with some large Snook for this time of year. Several trips this week released several Snook from 28 to 34 inches! Not something that is usually reliable this time of year. I have been taking these fish on points with fast current in the back bays. Incoming tide has been best. Angler Bill Forte' with a 13 lb. Snook we released Thursday morning...

Pompano also have been in the spot light with many fish being caught in channels outside the passes. We are taking them on surgical tube jigs. Tides don't seem to matter as long as the water is moving. Alan Novick with a big 22 inch pompano on Friday morning...

The last three afternoons, we have found a bonanza of Redfish with clients enjoying hungry schools of 18 to 23 inch Reds providing non-stop action! Live shrimp and sardines cast along south facing flooded shorelines were eagerly consumed. Friday afternoon's trip released at least 3o Redfish to 5 lbs.
