Naples - Saltwater Fishing Report

Well red snapper season is behind us for now and on every trip we did really well on our snapper trips.The last week was no different with a limit of red snappers on all longer trips and even mutton snappers up to 12pds.On the grouper side of things both red and gag groupers made it to the box this week with a couple of black groupers coming along for the ride home.The red groupers on the longer trips were up to 16 pds and the gags going up to 25pds.The two black groupers we caught were caught about 10 min apart on live pinfish.

Naples Fishing Forecast:

Gags are now open and the further offshore you go the bigger the fish.Most of the larger fish over 20 pds are being caught 40 miles or further offshore.The red grouper bite continues to be strong from 10 miles to 60 miles offshore,also with the larger fish in the 15 to 20 pd range offshore in the deeper water.
