Naples - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing this week has been unbelievable. What ever you want to catch it is out there. Snook, Tarpon, and even the elusive Redfish.
Fishing the passes to the back country has been producing nice Snook on both bait or fly this week. The beaches from Bonita to Naples to Marco have as many Snook on them as I have ever seen in my life if not more. Tarpon are in the Passes at first light and dusk and are a little tough to target, but getting them to hit a Black and Purple Rz's Bunny Deceiver. Or an EP in the same color. Bait is producing huge catches just about anywhere you go. Redfish are very scattered but most of the ones I am seeing are showing up near the passes and in the bays fairly close to the passes. I have been running into one or two in the farthest backcountry creeks when fishing for small Tarpon.
Naples Fishing Forecast:

This weeks fishing should continue to be good especially in the early morning and evening into the night. Full Moon usually means the bite turns t better to the afternoon. If you are going in the mornings, most of the good fishing will be over by 9am. I expect the big Tarpon to continue to run the beaches from Marco to Boca Grande. Run with the sun behind you and look for flashes anywhere from 300 yards off the beaches. Snook bite will probably decrease a little after this full moon. The first spawning push will be over and things are going to settle down a bit, but it was fun while it lasted. It is still going to be good not as good as it has been though. Well I have to go, fishing a night Charter. Good casting Roan z.
