Winter has arrived.

Capt. Joey Benko

Naples - Saltwater Fishing Report

Sorry for the late report fishing has been off the hook with some amazing weather but that has finally come to a hault with the arrival of the first major cold front. Fishing last week was solid with bait and fish all around. Snook, Jacks and trout have been keeping anglers very busy.

Baits of choice have been pilchards and jigs tipped with shrimp. With the colder water temps the trout bite should pickup for us here in Naples.

Naples Fishing Forecast:

With the winter blast upon us looking for things on the water to slow down. Grab some shrimp and try some new techniques from live shrimp on the bottom and jigs tipped with shrimp work deep water troughs and fast moving little rips on mangrove points to find the fish. Remember that with the cooler temps the need to become a little more patient will help. Later in the week temps will be warming but water temps will remain between 65-70.

Target Species:

Snook, Redfish, Tarpon, Trout, Pompano, Snapper, Sheepshead
