Click to Enlarge Photo Redfishing, and Snook fishing are all co-operating well when using fresh caught scaled sardines. Light tackle spinning outfits spooled with 8-10 ultra-cast Berkley braid and a 3-4 ‘ piece of Vanish fluorocarbon with a 1 to 1/0 live bait or circle hook, these outfits allow for long casts so you don't have to pressure the fish, as they are very spooky in the shallows, Motor Guide trolling motors on a low speed or a push pole will get you in range. With the late season cold fronts we are experiencing all species are chewing in certain bay's and back-country locales a day or two after the fronts roll through, water temperatures are fluctuating between 62* and 70*. As long as the temp's are rising and the high pressure moves out the fish are looking for a meal, on the highest part of the tide slowly moving up on a fishing flat to sun and feed. On the nearshore reefs the Spanish Mackerel, Cobia and Kingfish should begin to show at anytime now. Spring is the busiest time of year so book fishing charter ahead if possible. 727-376-8809 Tight Lines !Click to Enlarge Photo
