Lake Toho
Last few days we got hit with a flurry of half day trips on Lake Toho and the bass did not let us down. Hottest trick had been tail hooking a wild shiner and pitching to the grassmat edges, and letting the shiner swim up under the slop.Stout rid with serious braid is key to doing this, fighting a bass back to the boat thru that mess can play havoc on mono, Stren SuperBraid was the line of choice in 40 pound test.
Scattered open water hydrilla has been a good target area for Carolina rigged snakes, black in color has been the treat the bass have fallen too. Alot of new waters on the lake with all the storms and thanks to Dennis. Water flow areas have been hot ticket areas. St Cloud Canal coming into Gobblets Cove has produced several bass to 8 pounds using Long A's and crystal minnows along with a rattle trap in chrome/blue.
We have a few days open for the rest of the month so jump onboard while you still can. Dont forget to get your snake kit and get in on the 250k Trophy Bass Challenge at DougHannon.com
Till my next report, tight lines and Bass wishes
