Kissimmee Chain
Today we had a great day out on the Kissimmee Chain of lakes.
Water levels are dropping fast so some of the favorite places to fish have all but disappeared. Mother natures way of cleaning the lakes by exposing the bottom and burning off the muck, but we are more than ready for the rains to start.
Today the guy, Chris and Joe were down for their yearly visit to relax and catch some bass. Today was definitely a great day for them. Chris started the day of 5 minutes after the first shiner hit the water with a nice 3 pounder, which he then followed up with a very nice 5.9 pounder.
Slow trolled shiners, which is the bait the guys wanted to use, produced several more very nice bass, with Chris nailing a very good 6.2 pounder. Joe had ended the day by catching a nice 3.8 pounder as his shiner pitched into a grass bed pothole saw her fall prey. Morning bite was definitely the most productive part of the day, as the sun hit high noon, the fish were much less active catching one here and one there. In all the guys got great numbers and size to make for one great day on the water.
Till my next report, Tight Lines and Great Fishing!!
