Water Levels Unstable in Osborne Chain

Capt. John Miller
October 7, 2008
Osbourne Chain - Freshwater Fishing Report

This past weekend was hard fishing, however when you located fish it was good. For some reason on Friday the water droped 2 feet. Saturday all the flood gates from the west were pumping wide open dumping water and floating debry. The water was running so hard in the Hunters Run canal that with a 10mph East wind it was hard to navagate west with the trolling moter. We had to fish the small side canals. It paid off with plenty of 12 to 14 inch Bass on Gambler Aces and Toads.
The water level is back to normal now.

Osbourne Chain Fishing Forecast:

As soon as the weather starts to cool-off.Its going to be a very good Fall and Winter for Largemouth Bass, Peacock Bass and Speckled Perch in the urban canals of Palm Beach.

More Fishing Reports:

Trophy Largemouth Bass fishing. Lake Okeechobee and other Lakes and waterways in Central and South Florida. Airboat and pontoon boat trips available.
