Jupiter / Palm Beach cooler weather fantastic inshore fishing

Capt. Craig Korczynski
November 14, 2011
Palm Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

The intercostals snook fishing has been consistent as water temperatures drop snook gather in deep holes and along docks and seas walls. Live baits and lures entice many strikes, if bite slow be patient the snook will find the bait. The size of the snook being caught range from 2 to 10 pounds, work areas thoroughly, snook school together.

Tarpon continue to wow anglers with there leaps and drag screaming runs. Deep channels and bays offer consistent action, mangrove shorelines produce as well. Live baits drifted with the tide best bet, a crankbait works at times but with slow presentation. Typical size of the tarpon 5 to 30 pounds.

Spanish mackerel have converged on our local beaches and inlets. Spanish can be seen sky rocketing as they chase bait schools, birds are also a great source for fisherman, notifying them were the mackerel are. Spoons, jigs, and feathers work great be sure to use a heavy leader or even wire leader, mackerel have extremely sharp teeth.

Well that is the fishing report for the past week, hope you all enjoyed. Remember you cant catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines! Capt. Craig Korczynski, PhlatsInshorefishing.com, 561-644-4371
