Palm Beach Jupiter Inshore Report

Capt. Craig Korczynski
September 14, 2022
Palm Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Calm and steamy, mid September is living up to its potential. With light variable winds, seas have been calm. The full moon this past week has brought higher than average tides, creating challenges fishing docks and mangrove shorelines.

The snook fishing has been very consistent targeting sea walls and structures on the outgoing tides. Points and flats have been key targets as bait schools gather in these areas. Snook are striking live baits, DOA C.A.L. 4" jerk baits and Rapala skitter walks. Bigger snook are still hanging near inlets and beaches. These areas will turn on drastically as the mullet schools continue to migrate south into our local waters.

Tarpon fishing has slowed down a bit inside do to the dirty water caused by run off and construction. Incoming tide tarpon are striking live baits near channels and mangrove shorelines. The beaches have been excellent areas to target the silver king, as they ambush bait schools along the beaches.

Many other species are being caught in the local waters. Schools of jacks can be found near channels and structures. Top water Rapala skitter walks and live baits provoke explosive strikes. Mixed in with the jacks, ladyfish, mackerel, moonfish, and sharks all provide drag screaming action for anglers.

Well that is the fishing report for the past week, hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can't catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines!
