Palm Beach and Jupiter Inshore Report

Capt. Craig Korczynski
January 24, 2024
Palm Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Tail end of January, consistent wind, rain and cool air has made days on the water a grind. Always places to hide, staying consistent is always the goal. Migration fish are hungry keeping the rods bent for anglers.

Back bays and canals have been key areas for targeting snook. Anglers have been catching a fair amount of snook, along with multiple species of snook. Tarpon snook have been very active along mangrove shorelines and channel edges. DOA 4" jerk baits have been bait of choice.

With the cool air and cooler, water temperatures, the mackerel, jacks, bluefish, and ladyfish have been very abundant in deep holes. Jigging and using Rapala skitter walks on the surface. Great tactics to get explosive strikes. Mixed bag days make for fun fishing, never knowing what is going to strike next.

Rock piles and docks have been very plentiful for multiple species of snapper, lane, mangrove, mutton, dogtooth, yellowtail and cubera. Drum, blue runners, grunts and many other bottom dwellers keep the rod tips bent as well.

Well that is the fishing report for the past week, hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can't catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight lines! PhlatsInshoreFishing.com visit us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest. 561-644-4371
