July is off to a hot start! Warm weather and light winds have made for calm days on the water. Water temperatures are in the high 80s low 90s morning, midday, afternoon showers and thunderstorms cool waters a little bit firing up the fish.

Tarpon fishing in the ICW, channels and back bays have offered fish from 10 to 80 pounds. Live bait free lined get the strike. Doa 3 inch shad also great choice to get the silver king flying.

The snook are abundant throughout local waterways. Snook are spawning on the full moon beaches, passes and the inster coastal , all holding schooling fish. Live bait and artificial lures like Rapala x raps and DOA 3" shad tail entice snook strike.

Shark fishing has been great the past week bull sharks, nurse, lemons and yeah black tips are all abundant. Live or dead bait under cork or dropped to the bottom create drag screaming runs.

Docks, seawalls and rocks piles great areas to locate a wide variety of species. Snook, snapper, drum, jacks just a few that put a bend in the rod. Anglers looking for non stop action bait worked on bottom, create strikes every drop.
