Palm Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Mid August and it has been a steamy one! Heat index is high 90's and the fish don't care. Bite has been great in the Palm Beach County.
Snook fishing continues to shine inside the ICW, inlets and beaches. Live baits, Rapala x raps and flies have been baits of choice past week. Snook are schooled up in pods ambushing bait schools on both sides of the tides.
Tarpon fishing was excellent this past week, beaches and channels held plenty of hungry fish. Incoming and outgoing tide produced bites. Live baits and flies got the drag screaming. Tarpon ranged in size from 10 to 50 pounds.
Summer fishing offers many species to target, anglers have enjoyed catching, snapper, jacks, bluefish, sharks, drum and may others. Live baits and Rapala skitter walks create awesome surface strikes for anglers targeting the jacks and blues.
Well that is the fishing report for the past week, hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can't catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines!

Target Species:
