Palm Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

South Florida is warming up after a brutal cold snap that punished all of Florida. Water temperatures are on the rise and the it is getting petter every day.
The backcountry mangrove areas have been great areas to locate smaller snook and juvenile tarpon the past week. These areas have a muddy bottom, which in return has warmer water temperatures. Live bait and Rapala X raps have been the baits of choice for these fish. A slow presentation with the X rap triggers the bite.
Channels and bays have been excellent areas to locate blue Fish, jacks lady Fish, Pompano, and many other species. Doa 4 inch jerk baits have been bait of choice along with the 3" shad tail. Most of these fish are in big groups so once you locate fish, typically anglers can enjoy nonstop action.
Depending on ind direction beaches have also been an excellent place to locate fish providing awesome action with top water skitter walks. West winds is the best as seas are calm allowing anglers to get close to the shoreline targeting schooling fish.
Well, that is the fishing report for the past week, hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can't catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines! PhlatsInshoreFishing.com Visit us on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, X and YouTube
