Palm Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Mid February, the weather has been perfect the past week, seasonal weather, few days wind was strong, but anglers enjoyed the sunshine and tight lines!
Blue fish were the hot bite the past week. Anglers enjoyed top water action from sun up to sun down. These fish were chewing and ferocious striking any plug worked on the surface creating awesome explosive strikes. The blues ranged from 2 to 15 pounds.
Anglers looking to target snook, back bays and mangrove shorelines provided smaller snook willing to strike rapala X raps and Live bait. Fly fishing anglers the past week had a blast targeting the line siders at night. Night bite fly fishing dock lights, anglers enjoyed catching three different species of snook as well as tarpon under the dock lights.
Tarpon fishing is starting the heat back up as the water temperatures rise. Juvenile fish are abundant hanging in schools near drop offs and channel ledges. Live bait have been the best as well as fly fishing small flies enticing the silver kings to bite.
Angleris looking for nonstop, actiion. Bottom fishing for snapper, drum, grunts, jacks, whiting and many other species provided great action. Shrimp on bottom gets the bite.
